Located in the north-east of the Republic of North Macedonia, Pela’s wholly-owned polymetallic, Luke KP Concession, hosts the Krstov Dol Antimony Mine Restart Project and Samar Gold Project, together with four additional prospects.

Geological Context

Luke KP is situated on the Tethyan Belt – one of the world’s most prospective and under-explored, metallogenic belts. Exploration at Luke KP has identified that deposits comprise greenschist and amphibolite facies metamorphic rocks, Precambrian to Palaeozoic in age, which have been variably intruded by andesitic to trachytic igneous rocks during the Tertiary. Dominant antimony, gold, zinc, lead, copper and other economic minerals are known to be present as either, intrusion, hydrothermal and disseminated mineralisation.

Luke KP lies within the Serbo-Macedonian Massif, a key geological feature of the Balkan Peninsula that overlaps with the mineral-rich Tethyan Metallogenic Belt—a globally significant zone known for hosting world-class mineral deposits. This region extends through Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania, and is renowned for its diverse rock formations and substantial mineral potential.

Geologically, the Serbo-Macedonian Massif is part of the larger Dinaric Alps and Balkan Mountains system. Its rocks—spanning metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary types—have undergone extensive folding, faulting, and thrusting over millions of years. This complex geological history reflects the tectonic convergence of the Eurasian and African plates, which drove the closure of the ancient Tethys Ocean and contributed to the uplift and deformation that shaped the region.

Within the massif, distinct tectonic units, such as the Skopje Zone and Pčinja-Topolnica Zone, exhibit unique structural and lithological characteristics that align with mineralization trends observed in the Tethyan Belt. These favourable geological settings have positioned the Luke KP project as a promising exploration and development opportunity within one of the world's most prospective metallogenic belts.

Republic of
North Macedonia

The Republic of North Macedonia serves as a stable, mining-friendly jurisdiction with established laws, a skilled workforce, and a strong mining heritage.

As a NATO member and EU candidate, it offers modern infrastructure, easy access to EU smelters, nearby ports in Greece and Montenegro, and  favourable economics including a low 10% corporate tax rate.
